Here’s my story.
First, I was a teacher.
I loved working with children, and met some of the most inspiring minds (both adult and kid-sized) in the classroom. Most seasoned teachers eventually experience a burnout moment, and my number came up after nineteen years of teaching. With my husband’s blessing, I took a sabbatical to rest and recuperate.
That’s when I picked up my camera.
I’d dabbled with photography for years. As a teenager, I loved taking pictures and self-taught my way around an old Canon. During my time away from the classroom, I delved deep into the world of photography and fell in love with the blend of artistry and technical skill behind visual storytelling.
My work behind the camera includes family portraits, event photography, and supporting institutional communications and storytelling.
I’d love to help.
Do you need a few ‘good pictures’ of yourself?
Are you celebrating a special family event and need a person to do the job of documenting so you can just be in the moment?
Are you balking at the prices of a full photography session and wondering why it costs so much to get a few decent pictures?*
I’m here to help. Whether you have a clear idea of what you need, or never know what to do with your hands and feet in a picture, I’d like to find and capture your best. I offer reasonably priced mini-portrait sessions, and am willing work with clients on their specific needs.
